Just a normal day at the pool.......or not

Olivia and I headed to the pool today at 10:00 to meet some friends. Within 5 minutes of getting in the water, a police officer came in. This was not unusual, because our pool clubhouse also doubles as a police substation (yipee!). Unfortunately, we were told the pool was on "lockdown" because someone had robbed the Wells Fargo right by the pool and was armed and on foot in the neighborhood. There were about 6 families plus 3 lifeguards at the pool and we all stayed for about 30 minutes longer. We never felt scared, because what crazy person would head right towards multiple police cars parked by a pool, right? They finally made us a leave after about 30 minutes. The story hit the news and several helicopters were flying around, but they still have not caught the guy. What an interesting way to end the week!
